What it is
Glutathione is the antioxidant your own cells make in the largest quantity, and the one your liver leans on to neutralise and clear compounds. It is called the master antioxidant because it also regenerates others, including vitamins C and E. Taken by mouth it is largely broken down, which is the reason it is given by injection. Compounded, and not FDA-approved.
How it is used
A small subcutaneous injection, usually once a week. Your provider sets the dose and reviews it over time. Effects on skin clarity, where they occur, are gradual rather than immediate.
What to discuss with your provider
Tell your provider if you have asthma or a known sulfite sensitivity, any liver or kidney disease, and about pregnancy or plans for it. List every medication and supplement you take.
