About ghk-cu cream

What it is, and what to ask.

What it is

GHK-Cu is a short three-amino-acid peptide bound to copper that occurs naturally in human plasma, and whose level falls with age. In laboratory work it signals for collagen and elastin production and behaves as part of the skin's repair response. It is applied to the skin rather than injected. Compounded, and not FDA-approved.

How it is used

A small amount to clean, dry skin, usually once daily. Changes in skin quality are gradual — months rather than weeks — because you are working with the skin's own turnover cycle. Your provider will say how it fits alongside anything else you use, particularly retinoids or acids.

What to discuss with your provider

Tell your provider about any skin condition, eczema, known copper sensitivity or Wilson's disease, and about pregnancy, plans for it or breastfeeding. Mention every topical product you currently use.

Educational information only. It is not medical advice and does not describe results you should expect. A licensed provider decides what, if anything, is appropriate for you.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Compounded ghk-cu cream is prepared by a state-licensed U.S. pharmacy for an individual patient and is not FDA-approved. It is not a generic or a copy of any FDA-approved product. Topical copper peptides are not appropriate for everyone, including people with copper sensitivity or Wilson's disease. Reported effects include local irritation, redness, itching and contact dermatitis. Patch-test a small area first. Evidence in humans is limited and no cosmetic outcome is guaranteed. Discuss your full medical history with your provider. Information on this page is educational and is not medical advice. Individual results vary and no outcome is guaranteed. Product imagery is stylised and does not reflect the actual label, size or appearance of the prescription product you may receive.
