What it is
Testosterone cypionate is testosterone with an ester attached, which slows its release so one injection covers days rather than hours. It is the most established route in hormone therapy, and the reason providers favour it is predictability — blood levels track the dose closely, so titration against lab numbers is precise. This is a controlled substance and requires a prescription.
How it is used
An injection once or twice weekly. Splitting the dose across two injections generally smooths the peaks and troughs, which is why many providers prefer it.
